Will you promote true tax reform legislation?

There are a lot of ideas floating around Congress concerning tax reform, and one thing we can count on is the Washington-insiders working to scuttle anything that upsets the status quo and empowers the American people. Anything that threatens either the power of politicians over the tax code or the profits of their well-dressed darlings—tax lobbyists—won’t go anywhere. That’s the way it is right now and that includes our passion-- the FairTax. That’s the plain truth. We have researched and developed a tax reform plan that is fair to all, can put our economy on fast track growth and get every (willing) American back to work. Our great idea is not enough. Not by a long shot. That’s also the plain truth. Corruption and self-dealing have become so much a part of the Washington landscape that helping the nation at the cost of any sacrifice by our political class is rejected without debate. Here’s another truth: Both Republicans and Democrats will do all they can to keep our unfair tax code. They want the status quo because they like the power and they like the money. Nonetheless, right now we have an opportunity in America because our nation is hungry for something better than the status quo. Without a monumental effort to replace it, the current tax system will remain a crippling national embarrassment, supported by….the Political Elite. Why Do I Love the FairTax? The FairTax makes the United States the most favorable tax environment for growth in the world. That means trillions of dollars of new investments and millions of new jobs. The FairTax brings everyone - drug dealers, illegal immigrants, gamblers and those adroit tax-avoiders - into the tax system, allowing all of us—the victims of this corruption—to pay lower taxes and take home more. The FairTax has no federal deductions or withholding out of your paycheck. That’s right, you read it right; you take home all the money you earned. The FairTax is a national sales tax that replaces all the corruption, bad ideas and insider trading of tax breaks. It raises just as much money but out in the open. That makes it a lot easier to see what’s being spent out of your money—another reason Washington hates it. Yes, the FairTax is a threat to the status quo. The FairTax could be the greatest devolution of power from government to the people since the Declaration of Independence. Do you want to be a part of history with us? We must band together to scare Washington so badly with our power that defending the income tax becomes just like defending terrorism. How do we do that?
