CCCR-Education and Tim Utz for House 2012 jointly issue Press Release #5, March 19, 2011
As a delegate to the Minnesota Republican Party CD-5 Convention on March 19th 2011 Tim Utz will propose the following convention proclamation for the full body consideration and adoption. The time has come for bold unapologetic leadership in Minnesota state elected leadership. Not the continued increased expansion of government at the expense of citizen’s liberty, prosperity and Constitutional government.
Proclamation
“We the People” embodied as delegates and alternates in the Minnesota Republican Party CD-5 Convention, meeting at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis Minnesota; do this day, the 19th day of March 2011 make the following proclamation.
Whereas this body understands America is a Constitutional Representative Republic restricting government to constitutional limited powers and always subject to the people sovereign.
Whereas the Minnesota State Constitution clearly dictates the express will and direction of “We the People” in government limits and power.
Whereas elected officials of the Minnesota State House are charged by Constitutional mandate to generate a state spending budget.
Whereas during the 2010 campaign the Minnesota Republican Party, and Minnesota House Caucus campaigned on a message of “living within their means”.
Whereas the Minnesota Republican Party and Minnesota House caucus clearly defined “living within their means” as $32,000,000,000.00 General Fund spending for this biennium.
Whereas the Minnesota Republican Party and Minnesota House caucus clearly is violating the 2010 campaign promise by proposing $34,000,000,000.00 General Fund spending for this biennium.
Whereas the 2011 Minnesota House Republican legislative budget proposal directly violates the trust of the voters, breaks campaign promises, and provide unnecessary opportunity for DFL candidates in 2012 elections.
Whereas this Convention body recognizes the Minnesota Republican Party and Minnesota House Caucus “living within their means” state spending level of $32,000,000,000.00 is not in conformance to our State Constitution.
Therefore this Convention demands the 2010 duly elected Minnesota Republican Party members of the Minnesota State House; subject their budget proposal to campaign message of “living within their means”.
Therefore this Convention further demand the 2010 duly elected Minnesota Republican Party members of the Minnesota State House; reduce state spending to comply with authorized Minnesota Constitutional limits.
Therefore this Convention further demand the 2010 duly elected Minnesota Republican Party members of the Minnesota State House; cut state spending below “living within their means” spending of $32,000,000,000.00.
Therefore this Convention further demand the 2010 duly elected Minnesota Republican Party members of the Minnesota State House; recognize the authority, power, will direction and demand of this Convention, redirect their policies and budget to reflect such will of “We the People” embodied as delegates and alternates in the Minnesota Republican Party CD-5 Convention this 19th day of March in the year of our Lord 2011.
