watermelons and eggs

My Friend Marc sent these pics to me. You have got to see them to really appreciate them.

WATERMELON  AND EGGS FOR  CANCER
You'll  love the watermelons,

but you'll  be blown away by the eggs!

These  egg shells  were  cut with a high intensity precision Laser Beam.  This gives a very good idea of what can be  achieved with a Laser Beam. This gives you an  idea what laser surgery performed on one's eye  is all about. Is it any wonder how one's vision  can be improved in just a few moments? Science  is sometimes wonderful, and it's still on the  frontier of gaining new knowledge. Incredible  what can be done with an eggshell and a laser  beam.

Washington Post Report on Global Warming

Washington Post Report on Global Warming

The Washington Post:

The Arctic Ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some places the seals are finding the water too hot, according to a report to the Commerce Department yesterday from Consul Ifft, at Bergen , Norway ...

Reports from fishermen, seal hunters, and explorers all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard-of temperatures in the Arctic zone.
Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met as far north as 81 degrees 29 minutes.

Soundings to a depth of 3,100 meters showed the gulf stream still very warm.
Great masses of ice have been replaced by moraines of earth and stones, the report continued, while at many points well known glaciers have entirely disappeared.

Very few seals and no white fish are found in the eastern Arctic, while vast shoals of herring and smelts which have never before ventured so far north, are being encountered in the old seal fishing grounds.

Within a few years it is predicted that due to the ice melt the sea will rise and make most coastal cities uninhabitable.

I apologize; did I forget to mention that this report was from November 2, 1922, as reported by the AP and published in The Washington Post - 89 years ago?

P.S.  If you doubt this, search "Consul Ifft" in Google!)

THE STIMULUS AT WORK!

THE STIMULUS AT WORK!
Yea - another one

Some have said that the stimulus hasn't saved any jobs, but here is a case where at least one job was saved
Take for instance Oregon State University Athletic Director Bob DeCarolis.
Now Mr. DeCarolis was considering firing their Basketball Coach.......
Craig Robinson
After an 8 -11 start (2-5) in the Pac 10 conference).
When word reached Washington Undersecretary of Education Martha Kanter
was dispatched to Corvallis with $17 million in stimulus money for the university.
Thankfully,Craig Robinson's job is safe for another year
Now comes the interesting part of our story....
For those of you unfamiliar with Coach Robinson,.
he just so happens to be the brother in law of none other than our country's beloved President,
NOW YOU'RE CATCHING ON......that's right he is the brother of
Michelle Obama!
But hey, can't we all come to the conclusion that Coach Robinson's job security was all just a coincidence?
I'm sure of it .... Aren't You?
Thank Goodness For The Stimulus!!!
But $17 million for one job? I wonder what mine is worth?
If this doesn't anger you, nothing will... remember to vote this fall !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I Googled him and found this on Wikipedia:
Craig Malcolm Robinson (born April 21, 1962) is an American college basketball coach and the current head men's basketball coach at Oregon State University. He was previously the head coach at Brown University. He was a star forward as a player at Princeton University in the early 1980s and a bond trader during the 1990s.
He is the older brother of U.S. First Lady Michelle Robinson Obama, and the brother-in-law of U.S. President Barack Obama.

Fw: Social Security from the G-man

2012 is an election year for 1/3 of the senate and 1/2 of the house of representatives. It would be nice if congress got the message; the voting taxpayers are in charge now.
Social Security

LET US SHOW OUR LEADERS IN WASHINGTON "PEOPLE POWER" AND THE POWER OF THE INTERNET.

PLEASE FORWARD TO ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS.
IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU ARE REPUBLICAN OR DEMOCRAT!

KEEP IT GOING!!!!

Propose this in 2012:
START A MOVEMENT TO PLACE ALL POLITICIANS ON SOCIAL SECURITY

SOCIAL SECURITY:
(This is worth reading. It is short and to the point.)

Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions during election years.
Our Senators and Congresswomen
do not pay into Social Security and, of course, they do not collect
from it.
You see, Social Security benefits were not suitable for
persons of
their rare elevation in society. They felt they should have a special plan for themselves So, many years ago they voted in their own benefit plan.
In more recent years, no congress person has felt the need to change it. After all, it is a great plan.
For all practical purposes their plan works like this:
When they retire, they continue to draw the same pay until they die.

Except it may increase from time to time for cost of living adjustments. .....

For example, Senator Byrd and Congressman White and their wives may expect to draw $7, 800,000.00 (that's Seven Million,

Eight-Hundred Thousand Dollars), with their wives drawing $275, 000..00 during the last years of their lives.
This is calculated on an average life span for each of those Dignitaries.

Younger Dignitaries
who retire at an early age, will receive much
more during the rest of their lives.
Their cost for this excellent plan to them is
$0.00. NADA!!! ZILCH!!!
This little perk they voted for themselves is free to them.
You and I pick up the tab for this plan. The funds for this fine retirement plan come directly from the General Funds;

"OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK"!

From our own Social Security Plan, which you and I pay (or have paid) into, every payday until we retire (which amount is matched by
our employer), We can expect to get an average of
$1,000 per month
after retirement.
Or, in other words, we would have to collect our average of $1,000 monthly benefits for 68 years

and one (1) month to equal Senator Bill Bradley's benefits!
Social Security could be very good if only one small change were made.
That change would be to

Jerk the Golden Fleece Retirement Plan from under the Senators and Congressmen.

Put them into the Social Security plan with the rest of us
Then sit back....

And see how fast they would fix it!

If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of awareness

will be planted and maybe good changes will evolve.
How many people can
YOU send this to?Better yet......
How many people
WILL you send this to ?

"The Fence" forwarded to me by the G-man

August 1942. Piotrkow, Poland

The sky was gloomy that morning as we waited anxiously.
All the men, women and children of Piotrkow's Jewish ghetto had been herded into a square.
Word had gotten around that we were being moved. My father had only recently died from typhus, which had run rampant through the crowded ghetto. My greatest fear was that our family would be separated.
'Whatever you do,' Isidore, my eldest brother, whispered to me, 'don't tell them your age. Say you're sixteen.
'I was tall for a boy of 11, so I could pull it off. That way I might be deemed valuable as a worker.
An SS man approached me, boots clicking against the cobblestones. He looked me up and down, and then asked my age.
'Sixteen,' I said. He directed me to the left, where my three brothers and other healthy young men already stood.
My mother was motioned to the right with the other women, children, sick and elderly people.
I whispered to Isidore, 'Why?'
He didn't answer.
I ran to Mama's side and said I wanted to stay with her.
'No, 'she said sternly.
'Get away. Don't be a nuisance. Go with your brothers.'
She had never spoken so harshly before. But I understood: She was protecting me. She loved me so much that, just this once,
she pretended not to. It was the last I ever saw of her.
My brothers and I were transported in a cattle car to Germany.
We arrived at the Buchenwald concentration camp one night later and were led into a crowded barrack. The next day, we were issued uniforms and identification numbers.
'Don't call me Herman anymore.' I said to my brothers. 'Call me 94983.'
I was put to work in the camp's crematorium, loading the dead into a hand-cranked elevator.
I, too, felt dead. Hardened, I had become a number.
Soon, my brothers and I were sent to Schlieben, one of Buchenwald 's sub-camps near Berlin ...
One morning I thought I heard my mother's voice.
'Son,' she said softly but clearly, I am going to send you an angel.'
Then I woke up. Just a dream. A beautiful dream.
But in this place there could be no angels. There was only work. And hunger. And fear.
A couple of days later, I was walking around the camp, around the barracks, near the barbed-wire fence where the guards could not easily see. I was alone.
On the other side of the fence, I spotted someone: a little girl with light, almost luminous curls. She was half-hidden behind a birch tree.
I glanced around to make sure no one saw me. I called to her softly in German. 'Do you have something to eat?'
She didn't understand.
I inched closer to the fence and repeated the question in Polish. She stepped forward. I was thin and gaunt, with rags wrapped around my feet, but the girl looked unafraid. In her eyes, I saw life.
She pulled an apple from her woolen jacket and threw it over the fence.
I grabbed the fruit and, as I started to run away, I heard her say faintly, 'I'll see you tomorrow.'
I returned to the same spot by the fence at the same time every day. She was always there with something for me to eat - a hunk of bread or, better yet, an apple.
We didn't dare speak or linger. To be caught would mean death for us both.
I didn't know anything about her, just a kind farm girl, except that she understood Polish. What was her name? Why was she risking her life for me?
Hope was in such short supply, and this girl on the other side of the fence gave me some, as nourishing in its way as the bread and apples.
Nearly seven months later, my brothers and I were crammed into a coal car and shipped to Theresienstadt camp in Czechoslovakia .
'Don't return,' I told the girl that day. 'We're leaving.'
I turned toward the barracks and didn't look back, didn't even say good-bye to the little girl whose name I'd ever learned, the girl with the apples.
We were in Theresienstadt for three months. The war was winding down and Allied forces were closing in, yet my fate seemed sealed.
On May 10, 1945, I was scheduled to die in the gas chamber at 10:00 AM.
In the quiet of dawn, I tried to prepare myself. So many times death seemed ready to claim me, but somehow I'd survived. Now, it was over.
I thought of my parents. At least, I thought, we will be reunited.
But at 8 a.m. there was a commotion. I heard shouts, and saw people running every which way through camp. I caught up with my brothers.
Russian troops had liberated the camp! The gates swung open. Everyone was running, so I did too. Amazingly, all of my brothers had survived;
I'm not sure how. But I knew that the girl with the apples had been the key to my survival.
In a place where evil seemed triumphant, one person's goodness had saved my life, had given me hope in a place where there was none.
My mother had promised to send me an angel, and the angel had come.
Eventually I made my way to England where I was sponsored by a Jewish charity, put up in a hostel with other boys who had survived the Holocaust and trained in electronics. Then I came to America, where my brother Sam had already moved. I served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War, and returned to New York City after two years.
By August 1957 I'd opened my own electronics repair shop. I was starting to settle in.
One day, my friend Sid who I knew from England called me.
'I've got a date. She's got a Polish friend. Let's double date.'
A blind date? Nah, that wasn't for me.
But Sid kept pestering me, and a few days later we headed up to the Bronx to pick up his date and her friend Roma.
I had to admit, for a blind date this wasn't so bad. Roma was a nurse at a Bronx hospital. She was kind and smart. Beautiful, too, with swirling brown curls and green, almond-shaped eyes that sparkled with life.
The four of us drove out to Coney Island . Roma was easy to talk to, easy to be with.
Turned out she was wary of blind dates too!
We were both just doing our friends a favor. We took a stroll on the boardwalk, enjoying the salty Atlantic breeze, and then had dinner by the shore. I couldn't remember having a better time.
We piled back into Sid's car, Roma and I sharing the backseat.
As European Jews who had survived the war, we were aware that much had been left unsaid between us. She broached the subject, 'Where were you,' she asked softly, 'during the war?'
'The camps,' I said. The terrible memories still vivid, the irreparable loss..I had tried to forget. But you can never forget.
She nodded. 'My family was hiding on a farm in Germany, not far from Berlin ,' she told me. 'My father knew a priest, and he got us Aryan papers.'
I imagined how she must have suffered too, fear, a constant companion. And yet here we were both survivors, in a new world.
'There was a camp next to the farm.' Roma continued. 'I saw a boy there and I would throw him apples every day.'
What an amazing coincidence that she had helped some other boy. 'What did he look like? I asked.
'He was tall, skinny, and hungry. I must have seen him every day for six months.'
My heart was racing. I couldn't believe it.
This couldn't be.
'Did he tell you one day not to come back because he was leaving Schlieben?'
Roma looked at me in amazement. 'Yes!'
'That was me!'
I was ready to burst with joy and awe, flooded with emotions. I couldn't believe it! My angel.
'I'm not letting you go.' I said to Roma. And in the back of the car on that blind date, I proposed to her. I didn't want to wait.
'You're crazy!' she said. But she invited me to meet her parents for Shabbat dinner the following week.
There was so much I looked forward to learning about Roma, but the most important things I always knew: her steadfastness, her goodness. For many months, in the worst of circumstances, she had come to the fence and given me hope. Now that I'd found her again, I could never let her go.
That day, she said yes. And I kept my word. After nearly 50 years of marriage, two children and three grandchildren, I have never let her go.

Did you notice who Obama threatened????

Did you notice who Obama threatened????

From now thru November 2012 this should be required weekly or at least monthly, reading – BY ALL WHO VOTE!!!

Did you notice who Obama threatened when he wasn't getting his way on raising
the debt ceiling?

He threatened to not pay: Social Security Retirees, Military Retirees, Social
Security disability and Federal Retirees.

Now.. Let this sink in really good -

He did not threaten to stop payments to illegal aliens

He did not threatened to take frivolous benefits such as Internet access away
from violent inmates

He did not offer to fire some of the thousands of unnecessary federal employees
that he hired

He did not offer to cut down on his or his wife's frivolous gallivanting around

He did not threaten to not pay the senators and representatives or any of their
staff

He did not threaten to take benefits away from welfare recipients

He did not threaten the food stamp programs

He did not threaten to not pay foreign aid

He did not threaten to cut back on anything that involves his base voters

The list could go on and on. He is in full political re-election mode!

Why are we allowing this person to destroy this wonderful country with his
selfishness and his lies?

His type of change is killing our country. He needs to be stopped and only our
votes can stop him.

Do not forget about his tactics when it's election time. Vote Obama out of the
Presidency in 2012.

Note: The brief foreword below will increase your appreciation of the visual linked below that; no wonder mathematicians probably have near mystical experience when watching these extraordinary waves of pendulums*

You may recall from a Mechanics course  that the period of a pendulum is proportional to the square root of the length of the line suspending the weight - i.e., the longer the pendulum, the slower it swings.

Harvard students built a device with a series of 15 pendulums in a row, each one slightly longer than its neighbor, then set them in motion and filmed the result.

The resulting patterns in this short video are quite fascinating to watch

Don’t Get Wilf-Taxed Without a Vote - MN

The state constitution has parameters city and county charters under local units of government

ARTICLE XII
SPECIAL LEGISLATION; LOCAL GOVERNMENT
Section 1. Prohibition of special legislation; particular subjects. In all cases when a general law can be made applicable, a special law shall not be enacted except as provided in section 2. Whether a general law could have been made applicable in any case shall be judicially determined without regard to any legislative assertion on that subject. The legislature shall pass no local or special law authorizing the laying out, opening, altering, vacating or maintaining of roads, highways, streets or alleys; remitting fines, penalties or forfeitures; changing the names of persons, places, lakes or rivers; authorizing the adoption or legitimation of children; changing the law of descent or succession; conferring rights on minors; declaring any named person of age; giving effect to informal or invalid wills or deeds, or affecting the estates of minors or persons under disability; granting divorces; exempting property from taxation or regulating the rate of interest on money; creating private corporations, or amending, renewing, or extending the charters thereof; granting to any private corporation, association, or individual any special or exclusive privilege, immunity or franchise whatever or authorizing public taxation for a private purpose. The inhibitions of local or special laws in this section shall not prevent the passage of general laws on any of the subjects enumerated.

Sec. 2. Special laws; local government. Every law which upon its effective date applies to a single local government unit or to a group of such units in a single county or a number of contiguous counties is a special law and shall name the unit or, in the latter case, the counties to which it applies. The legislature may enact special laws relating to local government units, but a special law, unless otherwise provided by general law, shall become effective only after its approval by the affected unit expressed through the voters or the governing body and by such majority as the legislature may direct. Any special law may be modified or superseded by a later home rule charter or amendment applicable to the same local government unit, but this does not prevent the adoption of subsequent laws on the same subject. The legislature may repeal any existing special or local law, but shall not amend, extend or modify any of the same except as provided in this section.

Sec. 3. Local government; legislation affecting. The legislature may provide by law for the creation, organization, administration, consolidation, division and dissolution of local government units and their functions, for the change of boundaries thereof, for their elective and appointive officers including qualifications for office and for the transfer of county seats. A county boundary may not be changed or county seat transferred until approved in each county affected by a majority of the voters voting on the question.

Sec. 4. Home rule charter. Any local government unit when authorized by law may adopt a home rule charter for its government. A charter shall become effective if approved by such majority of the voters of the local government unit as the legislature prescribes by general law. If a charter provides for the consolidation or separation of a city and a county, in whole or in part, it shall not be effective without approval of the voters both in the city and in the remainder of the county by the majority required by law.

Sec. 5. Charter commissions. The legislature shall provide by law for charter commissions. Notwithstanding any other constitutional limitations the legislature may require that commission members be freeholders, provide for their appointment by judges of the district court, and permit any member to hold any other elective or appointive office other than judicial. Home rule charter amendments may be proposed by a charter commission or by a petition of five percent of the voters of the local government unit as determined by law and shall not become effective until approved by the voters by the majority required by law. Amendments may be proposed and adopted in any other manner provided by law. A local government unit may repeal its home rule charter and adopt a statutory form of government or a new charter upon the same majority vote as is required by law for the adoption of a charter in the first instance.

Don’t Get Wilf-Taxed Without a Vote
Vikings Owner Ziggy Wilf
If Vikings owner Ziggy Wilf, Governor Dayton, wayward legislators and a few greedy property owners get their way, you’ll be paying for a new playground for millionaires and billionaires and you won’t have any say in it.
The law requires a referendum vote to impose local taxes to build sports stadiums, but some say that’s no problem – just pass a new special law that suspends the right of the people to vote!
As a home rule charter county, Ramsey County has unique rights under the state constitution. Under Article XII, Section 2, the county has the right to fight back and undo special laws that pertain to the county. An amendment to the charter passed after a special law may supersede the special law.
The people of Ramsey County can protect their right to vote by placing a charter amendment on the ballot now to authorize or reject a tax increase for a Vikings stadium.
The Ramsey County Charter Commission has the power to put such an amendment question on that ballot, so even if the legislature succeeds in an end-run around the voters and imposes a tax hike on the county, the People will be able to undo it at the next election – if it’s on the ballot.
Take Action
The Charter Commission is holding a public hearing on the question of whether to put such a measure to a vote of the people on the 2012 ballot. If you want to preserve your right to vote on taxation, be sure to attend the meeting.

Grassfire Nation Update

The Tea Party is coming under hostile attack
from the Left. We want you to have TWO FREE
GIFTS when you stand with other citizens
against the Anti-Tea Party assault. Please
            see below.

Dear Patriots,

A new video game called "Tea Party Zombies Must Die" is the
latest example of a systematic effort to destroy the Tea
Party.

This game portrays Tea Party citizens are radical, crazed
zombies driven by their passion to cut taxes -- and the
goal is to kill the Tea Party zombies!

This from the makers of the game:

DON'T GET TEA-BAGGED! The Tea Party zombies are
walking the streets of America. Grab your
weapons and bash their rotten brains to bits!
Destroy zombie Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann,
Glenn Beck, the Koch Brothers, and many more!

Go here to see a screen capture from this outrageous video
that portrays Palin and Bachmann as obscene Banshees and
take action:

http://www.grassfire.com/169/petition.asp?Ref_ID=500063

And that's just the intro...

Word of this outrageous game surfaced just as Jimmy Hoffa
was working up a union crowd into a frenzy for their "war"
against the Tea Party. Hoffa concluded by saying it's time
to "take these [Tea Party] SOBs out." Of course, the Obama
team has remained silent, lending credence to the militant,
anti-Tea Party sentiment that is building.

This latest wave of attacks against the Tea Party started
during the Debt Deal debate when leftists began using phrases
like "terrorists" and "hostage takers" to describe the Tea
Party. Now those phrases are being translated into even
more harsh attacks from video game makers and leftist
leaders.

The Left's goal? Discredit the Tea Party and thus turn
voters away from our ideals of liberty and limited government.

+ + Citizens Say, "Stop The Anti-Tea Party Attacks!"

If the Left is allowed to demonize the Tea Party, they will
discredit the movement's "liberty and limited government"
message that is poised to re-shape the political landscape.
Grassfire Nation is launching this nationwide Petition to
rally citizens to stand with the Tea Party against these
hostile attacks.

The petition brings together citizens who:

--OPENLY OBJECT to such attacks against the Tea Party

--OPPOSE any politician who makes or condones such attacks;

--BOYCOT any business or organization that condones such attacks.

Go here to sign:

http://www.grassfire.com/169/petition.asp?Ref_ID=500063

+ + Two Free Gifts when you take a stand

As our way of saying thanks for signing Grassfire Nation's
petition against the Anti-Tea Party assault, we will send
you two of our new "I Am The Tea Party" key ring tags --
one to keep and one to share.

The front side boldly states, "I Am The Tea Party," while
the reverse features the "Don't Tread On Me" flag which has
become the symbol of our movement.

With these key tags, you can carry a powerful
symbol of the Tea Party movement with you in
your hands every day -- and it's our gift to
            you. Go here:

http://www.grassfire.com/169/petition.asp?Ref_ID=500063

Let's be clear... This is a systematic effort to discredit
the Tea Party and to label us as part of the radical fringe
of society. This is the Left's playbook for 2012!

Take action to oppose the Left's efforts. Go here:

http://www.grassfire.com/169/petition.asp?Ref_ID=500063

Grassfire Nation and Patriot Action Network

P.S. Please let us know if you want to receive the two free
key tags as our gift. Go here to request your key tags and
to stand against the Anti-Tea Party assault.
Dear Patriots,

Grassfire Nation has learned that Gibson Guitars, a Nashville,
TN based company has been raided twice by federal marshals
over the last number of weeks over the type of wood used
in their guitars.

Henry Juszkiewicz, Chairman and CEO of the company insists
they have done nothing wrong, and that the wood that was
seized was legal, was approved by Indian authorities and
even passed through U.S. customs!

+ + Obama Administration bullies private businesses

Patriots, as the President tours the country,
gleefully touting his "jobs creation bill," he's
        aggressively assaulting private businesses who
are actually in the business of creating real
        jobs!

Gibson, according to Juszkiewicz, has hired 580
workers over the last year -- but now because
of what he calls an "unjust, unfair and potentially
illegal" action by the Department of Justice,
Gibson has had to shutdown production, no doubt
        jeopardizing hundreds of real jobs!

In answer to this assault on private business and the government's
insatiable desire to encroach, upset and punish private
businesses in the U.S., Grassfire Nation has launched our
"I Stand with Gibson" petition -- giving grassroots Americans
a platform with which to support the guitar maker while
opposing Obama's arrogant use of federal power.

For more information and to take sign our petition click here:

+ + 25,000 Petitions Needed for Immediate Delivery!

Tea Party organizations across the nation are already taking
action, and a rally is being planned for Gibson on October 8,
in Nashville, TN. Grassfire Nation officials will be on the
ground to hand-deliver at least 25,000 "I Stand with Gibson"
petitions during that rally!

Friend, even though no charges have been filed,
the government did confiscate product and shutdown
production. In fact, the law in question also
makes illegal the purchase, ownership and resale
        of Gibson guitars.

This is a gross abuse of power that must be aggressively
challenged by freedom-loving Americans from coast-to-coast.

Take a moment today to sign this petition giving us permission
to represent you at this upcoming rally supporting Gibson guitars.

Letter to the editor

Who Really Understands "Legislative Process"

I stand by the content in my previous "Letter to The Editor" from August
2011 without apology, correction or retraction. I hoped to engage in
spirited debate with Representative for HD 50-A Carolyn Laine, our diametric
views on the issues of America's Constitutional Republic government, purpose
and function in civil society. Such expectation were dashed by Carolyn's
August 2011 reply "Letter to the Editor", wherein Carolyn admitted the facts
I presented in my previous August 2011 "Letter to the Editor" on her
recorded vote on 2010 Legislative Special Session 2 HF0001; Carolyn also
stated "...amazed at the lack of understanding my opponent has of
legislative processes"; then degraded my intelligence.

In reply, I clearly understand the fundamental obligation the "Legislative
Process" includes compliance in whole, and not a selective application, to
the Federal and State Constitutions (the only oath taken by our state
representative). An example is Article 4, Section 17 of the Minnesota
Constitution states; Laws to embrace only one subject. No law shall embrace
more than one subject, which shall be expressed in its title.

2010 Legislative Special Session 2 HF0001, contained three distinct subjects
in direct violation of our state constitution Article 4, Section 17, which
our Representative should be fully aware of. The three subjects were; 1. An
IOU accounting payment delays to Health and Human Services to balance state
budget through June 2011: 2. Financial relief for areas of Minnesota
effected by flooding in 2010: 3. Financial relief for areas of Minnesota;
devastated by a summer tornado. To comply with our Minnesota Constitution
(legislative process) 2010 Legislative Special Session 2 HF0001 required
three separate bills, a simple legal/paperwork process that would provide
individual legislator accountability for their vote and clarify the intent
of the Legislature for each subject.

Based on her voting record, one might conclude that our current
Representative, consider the "one subject rule" requirement of the
"Legislative Process" to be wasteful, inefficient, cumbersome, archaic or
bothersome. Carolyn Laine had an obligation of "Oath" and "Legislative
Process" to reject 2010 Legislative Special Session 2 HF0001, voting no
until the legislation was presented in three separate bills complying with
Minnesota Constitution; anything less is an inappropriate "Legislative
Process". A Representative who disregards the basic directives in our
Constitution has no business codifying Minnesota law.

This September marks the 31st year of China’s enforcement of the OneChild Policy - legislation that was never supposed to see past a three-decade mark. The policy has taken the lives of over 37 million girls who have been killed because of the “gendercide” that still exists in this country.

As a result of the lives lost to this horrifically unjust policy, All Girls Allowed, a Boston-based organization with the mission to restore life, value and dignity to girls and mothers in China, is encouraging college students across the nation to observe 37 seconds of silence on Friday, September 23.
Students for Life encourages campus pro-life groups to watch this video, educate yourself on the reality of gendercide in China and how dramatically it's affecting the population of young girls and women, and to spread this knowledge across your campus.
All Girls Allowed was founded by Chai Ling, former key leader at the student movement in Tiananmen Square, 1989. “Every second that we spend remembering these girls, hundreds more are killed in favor of boys,” says Ling.  “It is this generation’s responsibility to speak up about it, and students are beginning to see that. The good news is, with this kind of momentum, we believe that we can end gendercide in our lifetime.”

With your help, your college campus can learn more about the horrific and unjust practices of "gendercide" in China and how 37 million lives have been taken since 1980. We MUST work toward educating ourselves and others. We will continue to Turn the Tide, in America and across the globe.

From the G-man/and the internet....The Green Thing

The Green Thing
In the queue at the store, the cashier told an older woman that she should bring her own grocery bags because plastic bags weren't good for the environment.

The woman apologized to him and explained, "We didn't have the green thing back in my day."

The clerk responded, "That's our problem today. Your generation did not care enough to save our environment."

He was right -- our generation didn't have the green thing in its day.

Back then, we returned milk bottles, soda bottles and beer bottles to the store. The store sent them back to the plant to be washed and sterilized and refilled, so it could use the same bottles over and over. So they really were recycled. But we didn't have the green thing back in our day.

We walked up stairs, because we didn't have an escalator in every store and office building. We walked to the grocery store and didn't climb into a 300-horsepower machine every time we had to go two blocks. But she was right. We didn't have the green thing in our day.

Back then, we washed the baby's diapers because we didn't have the throw-away kind. We dried clothes on a line, not in an energy gobbling machine burning up 220 volts -- wind and solar power really did dry the clothes. Kids got hand-me-down clothes from their brothers or sisters, not always brand-new clothing. But that old lady is right; we didn't have the green thing back in our day.

Back then, we had one TV, or radio, in the house -- not a TV in every room. And the TV had a small screen the size of a handkerchief (remember them?), not a screen the size of the state of Montana . In the kitchen, we blended and stirred by hand because we didn't have electric machines to do everything for us. When we packaged a fragile item to send in the mail, we used a wadded up old newspaper to cushion it, not Styrofoam or plastic bubble wrap. Back then, we didn't fire up an engine and burn gasoline just to cut the lawn. We used a push mower that ran on human power. We exercised by working so we didn't need to go to a health club to run on treadmills that operate on electricity. But she's right; we didn't have the green thing back then.

We drank from a fountain when we were thirsty instead of using a cup or a plastic bottle every time we had a drink of water. We refilled writing pens with ink instead of buying a new pen, and we replaced the razor blades in a razor instead of throwing away the whole razor just because the blade got dull. But we didn't have the green thing back then.

Back then, people took the streetcar or a bus and kids rode their bikes to school or walked instead of turning their moms into a 24-hour taxi service. We had one electrical outlet in a room, not an entire bank of sockets to power a dozen appliances. And we didn't need a computerized gadget to receive a signal beamed from satellites 2,000 miles out in space in order to find the nearest pizza joint.

But isn't it sad the current generation laments how wasteful we old folks were just because we didn't have the green thing back then?

Please forward this on to another selfish old person who needs a lesson in  conservation from a smartass young person.

Remember: Don't make old People mad.

We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to piss us off.

Feature Article: Winning the Debate

As FairTax supporters, we come across a lot of questions when we tell Americans about the transformation the FairTax would bring to our nation.
Objections vary from person to person but we want to highlight some short answers and have included more detailed research to reassure any skeptic.
Also, all FairTaxers should also save this very thorough paper, "The FairTax: Fundamentals and Facts" that answers common technical questions.

“Minor-attracted persons.”

Yes, you read that correctly.

“B4U-ACT is a 501(c)(3) organization that promotes communication and collaboration among minor-attracted persons, mental health professionals, and researchers.”

Straight from their own press release!

Believe it or not, opposition to pedophilia is the next big wall of morality being broken down by the Homosexual Lobby and the anti-moral left -- and it is being championed by professional psychologists.

I have been warning people that this was where the radical Homosexual Agenda was heading for years...

…Back when NAMBLA (North American Man Boy Love Association) used to have floats in the Homosexual Pride parades.

At its heart, the homosexual lobby seeks normalization of all forms of perversion.

And now, they want Pedophilia removed from the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders), the official list of medical mental disorders.

Some even argue that there is nothing wrong with “adult-child relationships” – and that they should be encouraged.

Harry Hay, a longtime radical Homosexual activist, once said that a sexual “relationship with an older man is precisely what thirteen-, fourteen-, and fifteen-year-old kids need more than anything else in the world.”

And if pedophilia is normalized in the medical community, it will not be long before it is de-criminalized completely!

This is exactly what they did with Homosexuality.

They waged a war of political correctness to remove Homosexuality from the list of mental illnesses in the DSM.

And now they are trying to force acceptance of pedophilia on Americans as well.

If pedophiles are normalized, if the laws are changed to say that these “minor-attracted persons” are just like you and me, it won’t be long before pedophilia is legal.

And the next step after that: They will want to teach it to our kids.

Will they tell our children that it is okay for an adult to touch them?

Will they be told that saying no is a “hate-crime?”

Where does it all end?

I need your support today in order to stop this perverted agenda in its tracks.

Public Advocate needs your support.

The Homosexual Lobby’s attack is still in its early stages so we must strike before they reach a critical momentum.

You and I cannot stand by and let them force the worst of all perversions into our society.

Public Advocate is the only group standing up to the radical Homosexual Lobby at every turn, but I can’t do it without your support.
