Pro Life Leader Calls on Notre Dame to Cancel Obama Commencement Address
just needs to be enough to tell them how it was for you...either at the hospital, or trying to opt-out, or when you first found out that your baby's DNA was taken by the health department.
HERE'S WHY:
After my testimony on Tuesday, I provided committee members with one sheet of paper. It had two anonymous emailed parent stories written on it. Even if we lost in that committee, its effect on members was clear.

Here you can see Rep. Diane Loefler (D) reading the one-page sheet. On the legislative videotape it's clear that she read it all the way through to the end as Rep. Emmer (R) was speaking right next to her. (1:38:10). She did not look up until she was completely done.
YOUR STORY - DETAILS
We'll need your contact information to use the story, but we'll keep your story anonymous!
We could also use a few stories from nurses who are involved in the process.
Your story should be short and sweet. If it's long, we'll edit it down. We need just a few statements from you about something you REALLY want legislators to know about how it was for you...either in the hospital or after you learned the DNA was taken or something else really important to you.
Please send me your stories as soon as possible!
Thank you in advance!

Please Come!
Baby DNA Bill will be heard on Monday, March 23, 2009 at 4:30 p.m.
Please come. Bring family, children, friends!
The presence of moms and dads and babies and individual and families has proven to be highly effective!
Let's show them we mean business on this bill!
If you cannot come, but wish to email written testimony, please send it to vickie.benson@house.mn
Mark it as "written testimony on HF 1341" or they'll likely throw it out!
Remember the bill eliminates parent consent rights, allows children and families to become involuntary subjects of research. It dismantles the genetic privacy law, eliminates rights for legal redress, and seeks to remove blood and baby DNA from the definition of "genetic information"
Please let me know if you can come. (Details below)
I'll have "PROTECT BABY DNA" stickers for everyone...and signs!
Thank you!
