Just can't tell

How is it you refuse to see?

The truth staring at you plain as can be

Grabbing you hard by the lapels

Shaking you good, but just can't tell

That ya...

Don't understand what’s going on

Power has its addicts just like crack cocaine

Taking advantage of our better nature

Pulling the wool, they put you in chains,

but you just can't tell

That ya...

Lost touch with reality man!

Thinking slavery sets you free getting

Getting down with a deadly sin

Like lying in bed with your closest kin

Shame on you!

Man, chains don't have to be physical

The truth won't be rolled into a sound bite

Ya can't live the good life all whimsical

They laughingly cast you as a fool all right

When you've...

Been taught there is no right or wrong

Never been taught to stand on your own

You think that's what you're doing

But you just can't tell...

Cause you've been told life's a living hell

And is it...

Love or hate that makes you dependent

Dumbed-down and a victim intended

Could it be you ignorantly?

Put your trust into the enemy
