Fox news poll from NPR

district50ablog.blogspot.com

This is one poll you may wish to vote in!!

If you haven't heard this, the White House is accusing Fox News of not being a legitimate source of news, calling them biased, etc.  They have tried to block Fox reporters from news conferences, etc., but the other news networks are fighting back (in favor of Fox) and caused the White House to back down.  NPR has put a survey online for us to voice our opinion.  If you want to vote in this survey, go to the link below and cast your vote.  Currently it is neck to neck, so your vote will make a difference.  Let's show them how we feel about honest conservative news reporting.

Candidates Forum

Forwarded to me from a friend,  district50ablog.blogspot.com

Republican friend,

Senate District 51 is hosting a forum for the nine Republican candidates for governor. It's going to be an exciting event. It will take place on Tuesday, October 20, in Mounds View. Doors open at 6pm. There will be a dessert reception and a cash bar available.

Our forum will feature an exciting, interactive format: all participants will be seated in small groups. Candidates will speak one at a time to each group for 10 minutes. After their 10 minutes are up, the candidates will all rotate between each of the groups. The forum will not end until each group has met each candidate. This gives you the opportunity to meet all of the candidates in a small group setting that is moderated and positive. After the forum, there will be an informal meet-and-greet.

Tickets can be purchased ahead of time online or at the door. Door sales are $25. Since you're a district resident, you can buy tickets for $15 ahead of time online. You can buy your tickets securely online at: https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/79952  Once you begin your order, enter the discount code "LOCAL" to receive the discount. You can buy as many tickets as you would like at this discounted price.

You can find more information on our website at http://www.sd51.org/forum. Please email me with any questions or concerns.

Regards,
Richard Walch

Hi all,
Ya know sometimes ya just have to pass something along even if it might not be true...you know the internet and all! So here goes this is worth it I think.

Our Government at WORK !!    pass it  ON !
ACTUAL PASSPORT LETTER-----HILARIOUS!

This letter is a thing of beauty (even if the language is a bit rough)..
You definitely feel the guy's pain! An actual letter to the passport
office...

Dear sirs,

I'm in the process of renewing my passport, and still cannot believe this.
How is it that Radio Shack has my address and telephone number and knows
that I bought a cable t.v. from them back in 1987, and yet, the Federal
Government is still asking me where I was born and on what date.

For Christ sakes, do you guys do this by hand? My birth date you have on my
social security card, and it is on all the income tax forms I've filed for
the past 30 years. It is on my health insurance card, my driver's license,
on the last eight damn passports I've had, on all those stupid customs
declaration forms I've had to fill out before being allowed off the plane
over the last 30 years, and all those insufferable census forms that are
done at election times.

Would somebody please take note, once and for all, that my mother's name is
Maryanne, my father's name is Robert and I'd be absolutely astounded if that
ever changed between now and when I die!!!!!!

I apologize, I'm really pissed off this morning. Between you an' me, I've
had enough of this bullshit! You send the application to my house, then you
ask me for my friggin' address.

What is going on?  You have a gang of Neanderthal assholes workin' there!
Look at my darn picture. Do I look like Bin Laden?  I don't want to dig up
Yasser Arafat, for shit sakes. I just want to go and park my ass on a sandy
beach.

And would someone please tell me, why would you give a shit whether I plan
on visiting a farm in the next  15 days? If I ever got the urge to do
something weird to a chicken or a goat, believe you me, I'd sure as hell not
want to tell anyone!

Well, I have to go now, 'cause I have to go to the other end of the city and
get another friggin' copy of my birth certificate, to the tune of $60. Would
it be so complicated to have all the services in the same spot to assist in
the issuance of a new passport the same day??  Nooooo, that'd be too dang
easy and maybe makes sense.  You'd rather have us running all over the
friggin' place like chickens with our heads cut off, then find some a-hole
to confirm that it's really me on the dang picture - you know, the one where
we're not allowed to smile?! (bureaucratic friggin' morons)  Hey, you know
why we can't smile? We're totally pissed off!

Signed
- An Irate Citizen.

P.S. Remember what I said above about the picture and getting someone to
confirm that it's me?  Well,  my family has been in this country since 1776
.......I have served in the military for something over 30 years and have
had security clearances up the yingyang........However, I have to get
someone'important' to verify who I am - you know, someone like my doctor WHO
WAS BORN AND RAISED IN INDIA  !

Sincerely,

You Sure In The Hell Should Know Who.

..................And we want them to run our health care?!?

Thanks G-man

Richard Viguerie's Conservative HQ | Active Polls

On the September 21 Meet the Press, NBC’s David Gregory asked House Republican Leader John Boehner about President Obama’s political philosophy. Here’s a partial transcript of the interview: GREGORY: But, Leader, don’t they get even more scared when you got the head of the Republican Party sending out an e-mail that, you know, to challenge the president and Democratic leaders for a socialist power grab? I mean, is that appropriate conversation? Is this, did you really think the president’s a socialist? BOEHNER: Listen, when you begin to look at how much they want to grow government, you can call it whatever you want, but the fact is, is that... GREGORY: Well, what do you call it, though? This is important. BOEHNER: This is unsustainable. We’re, we’re broke. GREGORY: That’s fine. Do you think the president’s a socialist? Because that’s what... BOEHNER: No. GREGORY: OK. But the head of the Republican Party is, is calling him that. BOEHNER: Well, listen, I didn’t call him that and I’m not going to call him that.
