This is a group started by ultra leftist Michael Bloomberg, Mayor of New York City to oppose important pro-gun reforms and to support new federal gun control restrictions. It is critical that Mayor Peterson disassociate himself from this anti- gun group and you can do your part by contacting his office today and urging him to withdraw his MAIG membership.
Please call, e-mail and write Mayor Peterson today and ask him to support law-abiding gun owners by publicly disassociating himself from Michael and "Mayors Against Illegal Guns." Help him make the right choice between protecting your Second Amendment rights or continuing to be associated with those who actively oppose and undermine your firearms freedom.

From TEA Party Express
After months of planning, and thousands of hours of hard work and planning, we are officially launching the "Tea Party Express" tour - TODAY - Friday, August 28, 2009.
We urge you all to join us for one of our 34 "Tea Party" rallies across the country over the next 16 days. We also ask that as many of you follow along in your own vehicle as part of our caravan - whether for just a few miles as we pull out of a rally, or if you like join us for the entire tour, or just part of the way.

We have so many media organizations covering this huge event so it is crucial for us to have large crowds, and as many vehicles as possible joining our caravan. So jump in your car, RV, motorcycle, SUV, minivan, etc...

The Democrat Party
Suffered an ironic, covert death.
Killed by the same flesh eating rot,
That killed one hundred million,
With it’s breath.
Falsely, crying horrible foul,
To the GOD they disavow.
And wailing louder still,
When we refuse to bow,
To what these tyrannical appeasers,
All along should have known.
The reflection in the mirror
Is a creation all their own.
Look deep into the glass,
Betrayers of life,
To whom the mulct paid,
Is the sound of chains,
And the sickly smell of clotting blood,
Sweet in your nostrils.
As purposefully ignorant minions,
Stride heavy booted,
Down the slimy slope to hell.
Where the lust to control presides!
And human life has no worth,
But to honor slavery’s knell,
With liberty’s dearth.

Dear Supporter of Responsible Health Reform,
Tomorrow you have the chance to make your voice heard on the national stage. On Friday at 1:00PM EDT, Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius and other public officials will host a webcast to talk about health care reform. This is an important opportunity to ask Secretary Sebelius and her colleagues serious questions about the negative impact of a government-run plan.
The public is invited to submit questions to this forum, which is entitled, "Health Insurance Reform - What's in it For You?" Questions can be mailed to hhsstudio@hhs.gov and submitted via Twitter by using the "hashtag," or reference code, #HCRQ.
This is a great opportunity to ask the tough questions. Several sample questions you might consider are listed below. Please phrase them in your own words so that they reflect your personal thinking on the issues.
Sample questions for tomorrow's webcast:
* How does the current legislation bring down healthcare costs while at the same time promising no limits on care and artificially-capped premiums? It doesn't add up, and the Congressional Budget Office agrees.
* How is it possible for government-run health care to be sustainably funded and not reliant on taxpayer money when it's a proven fact that other - and smaller-scale - government-run health programs like Medicare and Medicaid soon will run out of cash?
* How will it be possible to choose a private health insurance plan if more and more people jump to a less expensive government-run health plan? Won't that cause my premiums to rise - or even put my health plan out of business?
* What guarantees are there that my healthcare options won't be determined by bureaucrats instead of my doctor?
This forum is a great way for people like you to show that you are paying attention and concerned about proposals for a plan that could balloon the deficit, increase costs, and reduce health care choices. We hope you can join this webcast and submit your questions!

Make no mistake, the powers-that-be in Washington did not want you to know what is in this horrendous Obamanation that they are calling "health care reform."
In fact, some Democrats - led by Speaker Pelosi -- are trying to suppress the truth about ObamaCare ... prevent We the People from knowing the facts about this legislation.
According to Roll Call:
"Democrats are preventing Republican House Members from sending their constituents a mailing that is critical of the majority's health care reform plan, blocking the mailing by alleging that it is inaccurate."
"House Republicans are crying foul and claiming that the Democrats are using their majority to prevent GOP Members from communicating with their constituents.
"'Hiding the truth about wildly unpopular policies is a Democrat specialty,' said one GOP aide. 'I'd like to see the flow chart on how Speaker [Nancy] Pelosi plans on implementing the open and transparent government she keeps promising everyone.'"
Last month, five governors made the "mistake" of using the word "rationing" in discussing proposed health care legislation making its way through Congress.
Response from the Administration was quick. Don't use that term. We don't want the American people to think about having to cut back on procedures now available to them.
But despite these efforts, the truth is getting out. People are coming to know that ObamaCare is rationed care... long waiting lines for government-approved treatments dictated by bureaucrats in Washington.
If you think your family's health care decisions should be made between you and your doctor rather than a morass of bureaucrats, we must kill ObamaCare once and for all.
If we let them sneak it past us, there will be no going back. "
